just an update please guys and gals...can we please have a quick straw poll on who has received a Closure Notice and who hasnt...

I have received mine and Montpelier have been very efficient in replying within 2 weeks with a pleasingly stern response !

You are best to ask NW or TQ. Personally I would scan and email - then request a receipt email.

Lost Post

I haven't.

Good point about post getting lost, it does happen. I moved house a couple of months ago, I did inform Hector and I have set up a redirection but stuff can still go missing.

Anyone know how many closure notices MontP have received so far?

I moved house and HMRC are still sending post to my old house. I have told them 3 times (once to Mr B on the phone, once to an underling in writing and once to the underling on the phone) that I have moved but they still insist on sending stuff there. Luckily my brother lives there and it's about 500 metres away so I'm not in such a bad position.

I'd be careful about this. I received my closure notices 7 days after they were posted (by second class mail...)

They replied on my behalf and then sent me a copy.
