Word of warning, when you approach the accountant, make sure they are they understand things like S660 and IR35. Find out what they offer for the money and make sure you go in with the right questions.

jss1961 did you manage to find an accountant locally, as I am with Brooksons too and live in hayes. I wish to go independent and break away from Brookson.

Or if anyone else can recommends one locally.

Solvers Accountants - just above Hayes train station.

Have been using them for about 3 years..., but not as a contrator....but they do know about contracting, etc.

I have a software development company on the side with a friend (one I do not contract through)– Solvers do our End of year Accounts, VAT return, etc.
