From my experience if you've never done a SA before then you won't have a UTR so you can't do a SA online. IIRC I had to contact (phoned) the tax office relevant to my employment who then sent me one out. It was quite painless.Blood in your pooComment

The UTR code is a ten digit code that's on all your correspondence from the revenue. If you still can't get one for your missus, then feel free to use mineComment
