I've been trying to register online and can't - very frustrating!"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. From my experience if you've never done a SA before then you won't have a UTR so you can't do a SA online. IIRC I had to contact (phoned) the tax office relevant to my employment who then sent me one out. It was quite painless.Blood in your pooComment

The UTR code is a ten digit code that's on all your correspondence from the revenue. If you still can't get one for your missus, then feel free to use mineComment

Just ring them up and they'll send it out.
My problem is that I've got two unique tax references. Don't ask...Comment
