If I remember rightly, you can give your immediate family up to £3000 a year as a gift without it being tax-eligible (and up to £250 for anyone else).
Can I give my wife £3000 and write it off against my personal earnings for the year? Nothing to do with giving her money from the company; I'd pay myself salary/dividends as normal and then give her a gift. Would this make any difference at all to my personal tax return?
