Claiming expenses if working less than 40% onsite

    Hi
I'm sure this must have been covered somewhere, and I've managed to find a number of articles on the 2 year/40% rule for expenses, but I can't seem to find the two specific questions I have which are:
    1. I am in the situation where I have been working for a client for almost 2 years and my current contract is about to finish, but the average time onsite over this period is only 10%. Is the 40% rule based on the average percentage worked days onsite (in comparison to the worked days offsite) over the 2 year period?
    2. If I am offered a renewal (and I decide to accept) which will then take me over the two years, does this mean that I cannot claim expenses back through my company regardless of the 40% onsite rule?

    Thanks in advance

Thank you - much appreciated. This is only my second post on any forum ever, so I'm not the greatest at it!

That's not actually the algorithm. As the quoted sticky points out.

You need to keep it under rregular review.
