    Claiming expenses if working less than 40% onsite

    Hi
    I'm sure this must have been covered somewhere, and I've managed to find a number of articles on the 2 year/40% rule for expenses, but I can't seem to find the two specific questions I have which are:
    1. I am in the situation where I have been working for a client for almost 2 years and my current contract is about to finish, but the average time onsite over this period is only 10%. Is the 40% rule based on the average percentage worked days onsite (in comparison to the worked days offsite) over the 2 year period?
    2. If I am offered a renewal (and I decide to accept) which will then take me over the two years, does this mean that I cannot claim expenses back through my company regardless of the 40% onsite rule?
