    employing myself?

Is there a point to my Ltd Co having a contract to employ me? In particular, does that help to establish that pension contributions are indeed paid by salary sacrifice?

Not really. If you are ever asked to produce one just print one and sign it but back date it.

You do need to be aware of the impact of NMW though, and any future changes to employment law that, given this shower-in-charge, are unlikely to be beneficial...

Not a problem (I get paid by salary rather than dividends, that's why an employer-provided pension is an attractive idea).

Logically of course if I just admitted to IR35 then it would follow that any pension must be paid by salary sacrifice: after all, if all my income is salary, and I forgo some of it for the sake of a pension, how could anyone argue that it wasn't salary sacrifice? I mean, they couldn't, could they? It wouldn't be logical, surely?

I may well be wrong, but I think pensions contributions are one of the few things you can take out before the 95% deemed salary is calculated...

          Any accountants know for sure?
