No LIMOSA yet - Just heard about it to be honest. I only left full time employment 22nd Dec. And got given this contract a week before. It kind of went so fast (not making excuses).Originally posted by tarbera View PostHave you got a LIMOSA?
Have you actually been paid yet? (Full amount into your business account by your agent ?)Comment

So after tax you will be left with about £1300 week (£1000 after expenses with no flights home)Originally posted by Jigga View PostThe market rate for what I am doing is 675 a day GBP.
Saying that what does your payment terms on your contract say ?Comment

maybe the mods ought to delete the dangerous tripe........Originally posted by jamesbrown View PostYes, but there’s an archive of dangerous tripe from Boo, including about the so-called (and widely misunderstood) “183 day rule” that invariably isn’t. They aren't there to make judgments on technical content, just to uphold the forum rules. It's our job to point out crap when we see it (and why it's crap), so that others can form their own judgements.Originally posted by Lance View Postmaybe the mods ought to delete the dangerous tripe........Comment

For that length of time, I'd probably just find a hotel/B&B that would put me up. Short term renting in Belgium can be expensiveOriginally posted by Jigga View PostI should also add - that the contract only runs until 30/04/2018.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

There are a number of bars in Brussels heavily frequented by British IT contractors, and their ex pat friends working for various EU bodies and NATO etc.
Its a case of tracking some of these down and swapping notes.Comment
