As it's my first one, my accountant registered me at the start of the month. Apparently I have 3 months to make the payment now, and not subject to the Jan deadline..

Same. Of course, it's generally a sign that you've had a good year if you've just had to pay out a big sum. But I don't half feel like I've just been abused.

How do you think us accountants feel. Spend all month knee deep in tax returns, then explaining to people that they’ve got a liability because of the rule changes - which we blogged, emailed, webinarred etc etc about, and then at the end of it having to cough up a few grand for your own liability. Sheesh.
