I've not had time to run any annual events this year but would like to do something this summer. I'll be away on holiday outside the UK this month. Can I claim for an event during that time (it would be a grand summer evening out or something like that)?

You can have an annual event but there is a limit.

I am sure it doesn't really matter but wouldn't having one in the UK look better than having a night out on a family holiday? Your accountant is your best bet.Last edited by northernladuk; 12 August 2016, 18:02.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!

Well the rules are pretty clear in that article. So if that's the case, no one else is getting benefit than I guess you are OK.Originally posted by ruasonid View PostIt would possibly look better but its me and SWMBO wherever it would be.

I once spent £2500 on a conference. No problem.I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor. Read my lips...I recommend QDOS for ALL your Insurance requirements (Contact me for a referral code).Comment
