    Fraud By False Misrepresentation

    Fraud Act 2006 Section 2

A breach is caused if a person dishonestly makes a false representation with the intention of making a gain for himself or others or causing loss or risk of loss to another....

....the main things that fall foul of this section are false or misleading curriculum vitae..

Anybody know of any instances of any successful prosecutions with respect to misleading CVs?

I mean, you can be prosecuted for a misleading CV; half the ones I see are a total work of fiction

There were cases in the US.

In the UK because employers aren't allowed what you did in a role and job titles are meaningless, unless you lie about qualifications and/or dates you can get away with it.

The old double-bluff. Why limit yourself to false representation when you can really confuse them and take it a step further to false misrepresentation?
