First time LTD - need recommendation - a firm to review new contract

Hello, could you please recommend a firm/lawyer who can review my contract before I sign it? If all goes well I'm due to start the work later this week (the whole process is happening incredibly fast...).

I'm in a process of setting up Ltd (accountancy firm and indemnity all sorted) as so far I have only contracted via an umbrella co..

I have already received a generic contract from my agency to read through and I think there are several paragraphs that I'd rather get reviewed. The accountant will review the contract to confirm it's outside of IR35, but I think there are some 'intellectual property' and 'opt-in' specific clauses that I'm uncertain about and which I would therefore like to get some advice on.

    Thank you.

I use QDOS as I get it free with my PI&PL Insurance, Bauer & Cottrell are also highly recommended

      QDOS, Bauer and Cottrell etc....

You could do with reading the newbie guides to the right which covers this and has plenty of articles written by and if not mentioning the big players -->>

Also would be a good idea to familiarise yourself with the search function as explained in the FAQ section (linked below). Every single contractor should be getting every contract checked so you could guess that it's been asked an awful lot... Knowing how to search will help you with a raft of other questions I am sure you will have at this stage...

Also, I wouldn't rely on your accountant giving you a professional view as to whether the contract is inside/outside of IR35.
And the lord said unto John; "come forth and receive eternal life." But John came fifth and won a toaster.

I know a 'seasoned' contractor that said they would sue their accountant if their contract turned out to be inside IR35 after receiving advice from said accountant it was outside.

I was gob smacked but I guess some contractors do know it all even if they perhaps don't
So now I am worried, am I being deceived, just how much sugar is really in a spoon full!

Your butcher does pretend he's a mechanic. There as this accountant is claiming s/he is competent in contact and tax law.
