Hi All,
Apologies for asking this question that has probably been asked thousands of times however I can't find a post that matches my current position.
When i started contracting last year, I was told by my previous accountant that I could claim travel and food whilst on clients sites, at the time the client was a 30 minute commute away and the contract was for 4 months.
Subsequent contracts have been further away but similar lengths (no more than 6 months)
My new accountant is advising that I should not claim for the food at any of my contracts, as it's not outside of usual work, However as the contracts were for such a short duration's, would this not be seen as temporary and/or my home office being the 'main' place of work?
Thanks
