    cotracting and e-commerce

    Hi everyone,

    I've been contracting for a few years now using LTD company and I'm considering setting up an e-commerce website, I'll probably make use of the existing company to do banking, VAT, etc. Is anyone aware of accountants familiar with this type of setup? or has anyone any experience in this matter, any guidance would be appreciated.

    Cheers!

    Are you going to buy and sell items?

    Sorry I don't know any accountants that deal with people who set up a company to buy and sell items.

            Accountants dealing with that sort of setup? Pretty much every single one. Are you under the impression commerce is a rare and unusual business?
            I'm a smug bastard.

              Make sure you're up to date with the VATMOSS rules if you're selling online in Europe.

                Hi,

                Sorry about the typo...

                @NibblyPig: Yeah, I’m planning to buy and sell initially.

                @TheFaQQer: thanks for the tip.

                I'm with Nixon William at the moment, when I approached them about this, they weren’t able to advice as they specialise in contracting.

                Thanks.

                  If you're buying and selling through Amazon or using PayPal carefully select your accounting software. Some handle it. Some don't. Some do but it's pain.
