If the T&S proposal goes through, would a contractor still be able to claim hotels and rail fares through an umbrella co?

Yes, really. Just curious because technically I'd be an employee of UmbrellaCo rather than a director of LtdCo.Originally posted by SlipTheJab View PostReally?

Morning
Nope - the same rules will apply for umbrella company contractors as for Ltd Co contractors - if you're under SDC of the end client (or they have the right of SDC), you don't get any T&S expenses - mileage, train fare, accommodation, meals etc etcComment

Given S is substitution, wouldn't it be my ltd co that has the right of S and they have the D and/or C? Not nit-picking, just evaluating early so that I can think about things at a more strategic pace than "Panic in March"Originally posted by LisaContractorUmbrella View PostMorning
