When you're responding to HMRC they do like facts and figures rather than just a photo of you stamping your feet and shouting 'it's not fair'
so I need as much info as possible. Personally I think that HMRC would be much better off moving away from employment law and just sticking with numbers. For instance, they're saying that too many people are getting tax relief under T&S rules as loads of low paid workers have been moved to umbrella's - then why not just make a rule which says if you earn less than living wage + 20% you can't be paid through an intermediary - problem solved - simples!
