Anyone use Brooksons Accountants?

Just reading some of these comments has reminded me of my inertia with Brookson - I've been with them for almost 3 years and I've just decided to move away from them. As has already been mentioned, the biggest issues with them are;

• You never speak to the same person twice
• Their response times are dire
• Their online system (whilst OK) has some flaws which means transferring money between accounts is time consuming (and ends up with money that has already been treated as revenue being counted twice)

What you want, and this is a view I have come to very recently, is a FreeAgent account and a FreeAgent friendly accountant.

That way, you'll get an excellent online system and the backup of a professional expert.

Was this not linked to the wrong poster? or are you offering to visit a competitor and offer him his own expert accountant..

Funny, sent Brooksons an email saying I was leaving , they called me within hours. If only they did that with my accounts queries, you know, the thing I pay them for, I might have stayed.

They've given my leaving email a stiff ignoring - no change there then.

We took a client from them about a month ago. Usual letter etc sent out to them. Completely ignored and they're still emailing client asking for monthly figures etc. hopeless.
