Personally, I hope the OP doesn't get away with it. It's people like this, taking the piss, that really annoy me. Pushing the boundaries is one thing. Out-and-out scamming is another thing entirely. In one of his earlier posts he said he wanted to sell all five (five - who the fuff has five electric bikes; for god's sake, stop buying crap electric bikes and buy a proper one) to his company. Idiot.

Sell my electric bicycles to my business for commuting

That's really unfair all these comments against me and my usage of electric bike.
Let me ask you a simple question:
How much do you expense currently in travel cost? Because for me, ebike is the only expense I have, and I've been doing accounting today and there is only £25 of oyster card I've used... in 6 months!!!
So can I at least expense a bit of my travel journey as bicycle? Or is it too much to ask?
If I sell 1 or 2 of my bicycles to my company, I bet I'd save money and time over TFL/oyster within a yearComment

You came, you asked for advice, you ignored the thought out responses.
People became sarcastic as soon as it was clear that you think that you can sell multiple expensive electric bikes to your business and that the business will also pay for the repairs. It's clearly an attempted tax scam to keep you in the ludicrously expensive electric bikes you appear to value.
Incidentally if you've been travelling to roughly the same area of London for 2+ years you can't expense ANYTHING as the 2 year rule applies.Comment

Ultimately, it's your Company and you can do whatever you like? Whether you get caught, or not, is the chance you take...

Yeah I've been far less than 2 years in london anyway. It may change later but not now.
I've been looking around for scooter as I was thinking it may be more convenient.
Here is a thread I've found:
http://forums.contractoruk.com/accou...h-company.html
if the company buy a scooter and as long as it is used exclusively for business purpose it can be 100% deducted.
So if I buy a £6000 electric scooter all repairs and purchase cost should be corporation tax free.
So now the question is... is it better to have 2 electric bikes (of £1000 each) and used exclusively for business..
or shall I get a business scooter of £6000 and be sure I won't have any issue with HMRC?Comment

I think at this point with the complete indifference you've displayed to previous advice you will struggle to get a sensible response to that....
Here's an idea ASK YOUR ACCOUNTANT. It's clear you have a "special" set of circumstances that the CUK posters aren't aware of and you need to understand the corporation tax and VAT positions as well as any personal benefit in kind of driving a company vehicle.Comment
