Advice for a new starter to the Ltd world

    Hi All,
Nice board only found it today.

Can anyone give me some advice on starting up as Ltd.?

When do I need to see an Accountant?
How do you decide on a year end?
Do I need to set up a PAYE Scheme?

Any more advice will be much appreciated

    Thanks

      d) See (c)
      e) See (d)

Advice is worth what you pay for it. Far better to do some digging around then ask specific questions. We ain't about to write a beginners guide for you so see if you can track down the two we normally reccommend...
      Blog? What blog...?

Have a look, read them, understand them, ask questions on the bits you don't understand. This is not a game, you're on your own (mostly!) and you can get burned very easily.

                    Hi All,

I too have the same questions as I am looking to start out in the world of the contractor; to take some control back of my life!
I have been looking at this and the PCG website too. There are some invaluable resources on both. I have also been speaking with contractors where I work too. They are usually very happy to give advise.

My research continues with accountant and tax consultant too as I try to understand the tax liabilities and salary models a contractor can adopt.

I must say it is rather enjoying and exciting!

Cheers guys and hopefully speak soon!
