          Jesus, the Mail is really scraping the bottom of the barrel now.

          I vaguely remember reading about PIE (Pedophile Information Exchange) way back in the '70s or something, and they've long since disbanded AFAIK.

          All this happened several _decades_ ago, when Harriet Harman and co were practically students

              I don't think there's any suggestion these Labour politicos raped kids, or were defending anyone who had (as far as anyone knew).

              As I recall, they were simply defending the PIE guy's right to free speech in promoting his views, objectionable though these may have been even then.

                  mine was a slightly inflated example but the point was there isn't a sell by date.

                  They allegedly contributed money to the organisation, that is supporting it rather than just defending their rights to free speech.
