So it seems Optimum Pay Group have gone bankrupt

Not that I think many people here were using them but I know Sue B worked there for a while and there isn't anything obviously wrong with them except an agency went bankrupt and have taken them with it.

What is however interesting is the reaction of someone today see Trustpilot Review who is complaining that Optimum hadn't invoiced their agency...

Hint to anyone - if your umbrella goes belly up after issuing an invoice to your agency all that money is going to be lost to the administrator - you really are way better off when your umbrella does the decent thing and instantly stops sending invoices out.

As a general point re Umbrella company 'employment'

A government compensation scheme should provide 100% cover for workers' losses. After all, the government is responsible for forcing workers into pseudo employment.

I heard about this a couple of weeks ago. I'll wait until they are liquidated and share what I heard.
