Can someone help me? I posted this message in another thread and Cojak kindly pointed me to this:
I hope someone can help me here, and suggest some ways of getting this sorted:
Basically my umbrella company owes me £6.5k and along with Giant, they got hacked?
I keep calling them but they keep saying directors are working with the banks and we have no idea when we can sort this.
So. I'm a bit stifled.
It's a lot of money and I am not getting anything sensible apart from "We don't know when this can be sorted out".
What can I do?
Grateful for *any* advice or pointers here please. ThanksComment

All I can suggest is to contact the Liquidators.
I doubt that there’s much more that you can do."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

Speak to the liquidators.
Who told you to use unified Payroll - if it was the agency then see an employment lawyer - they may be able to chase the agency for the money - I know from elsewhere that at least 1 agency has paid at least one of the workers they had working via Unified Payroll.
Also speak to the agency and see if they can claim on Professional Passport's insurance (I suspect its utterly worthless but you never know)merely at clientco for the entertainmentComment
