    new spam help!

Anyone else noticed spam on the rise again? Just as i thought i had it under control its started again, over the last few months i'm getting spam for various financial tips maybe 5 times a day plus russian dating sites? I cant just block them because they seem to be coming via genuine email addresses probably without the owners knowledge and the subject lines are completely random.

Is this happening to everyone or has someone stitched me up?
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

I get them too. The clever ones are where the real text is an image and the text is just random rubbish. The e-mail addresses are spoofed. I switched off McAfee Spamkiller because it was refusing some legit e-mails too, so I just delete them without reading them nowadays.

I have used this a couple of times to implement filtering as mail comes into the domain. There are a few good step by step tutorials on the site I preferred the Mr88Talent one.All free and open source and the server will run fine on a low end machine.Support from the forums was really good too IIRC.

It's really got awful. Spam killers just ain't working. Suddenly getting loads addressed to anyoldname@myurl and it got delivered to me as default.

Just gone through the exercise of redirecting - now only specific addresses come to me, rubbish gets bounced and there's an intermediate category I can just check headers of in freeware mail thing.
