Not sure where to post this. Like everyone else I only get paid when I work, so it's in my best interest not to be ill. I'm pretty prone to ear and throat infections - tend to get at least one per year. When I do, the doc generally prescribes oral antibiotics which take a couple of days to kick in.
When I was on holiday in the Canaries a couple of years ago I had a flare up, and after checking me over, the doc there gave me an injection which all but cleared up the symptoms inside about 6 hours. I needed two follow up injections, but it really was like magic.
Can I get that anywhere in the UK? I checked with my NHS doc here, who told me that it's not something offered on the NHS, but I'd be quite willing to pay to remove the symptoms, and also get me back to work.
