Why can't Google Merchant or Ebay cope with quantity discounts?

    Just a grumble really.

For low value items the costs of packing and delivery are proportionately less for larger quantities so offering discounts for quantity is quite normal. So how is it that neither Ebay nor Google Merchant are able to cope with this entirely commonplace scenario?

      Google checkout bulk discount

Interesting, there's not even anything on Google about it. Getting the shipping prices can be quite tricky though depending on products and destinations. We had to come up with a seriously complicated algorithm for our last client based on weight, quantity and destination.
