When there is an online order, my website sends acknowledgement email to the customer plus copies to me. Recently I find copies going into Live Mail spam and on checking the headers I found:
Received-SPF: error (google.com: error in processing during lookup of anonymousXdns28.co.uk: DNS timeout) client-ip=212.67.210.82;
Authentication-Results: mx.google.com; spf=temperror (google.com: error in processing during lookup of anonymousXs28.co.uk: DNS timeout) smtp.mail=anonymousXdns28.co.uk
A test to me as customer on another email account has similar. Had a look online and figured it needed an SPF record so added v=spf1 a ~all to my DNS but it hasn't helped. Can't find any other solutions and the whole topic is distinctly confusing, the spf setup wizard at The SPF Setup Wizard says my domain has no MX servers but there is an MX record on the site.
Any brill ideas on this? Cheers.
PS anonymous@ (changed to anonymousX as CUK keeps making into email address) looks a bit odd. Is that a problem for spam algorithms?
