I am on a clients site at the moment and need to sync some large files with the office and I normally use Dropbox, but I am short of space, can a few of you do me a favour and sign up and install using the referal link below, it has no monetary value to me, it just give me extra storage space. I have used the service for ages and is completly Spam & Spyware free, once installed you can delete the application again and I keep the referal bonus, but once you start playing with it I bet most will keep as its a fantastic application.

      Thanks in advance )
Even if the data you are syncing isn't sensitive (even if it's just your own timesheets etc), I would suggest you still get approval from the client's Information Compliance department. I've worked in quite a few clients where using something like Dropbox would raise significant eyebrows, no matter what data you put onto it.

So you've been stashing your personal data on the client's systems?

          Not a good idea really.

You stated in the OP that you were on a client's site.

Mine blocks access to things like DB.

I can be on their site without being on their systems, but we digress.

Assuming you're not plugging your laptop into their network...

It's all a bit of a grey area these days what with new fangled cloud based collaboration and hosting solutions anyway.

You can access your hotel wifi from the client site? Impressive. Is it nextdoor?
