    Pasting diagrams in Powerpoint

I have a document with a diagram in that I want to include in a presentation. When I cut it from Word and paste it into PP all that appears is a large "X". However same diagram will cut/paste into another Word doc.

What am I doing wrong? How do I cut/paste this into PP? Other diagrams have c/p'ed OK.

    TIA.

    1. Take a screen print.
    2. Open up Paint.
    3. Ctl-V.
    4. Crop to size.
    5. Ctl-C.
    6. Select New from File.
    7. Ctl-V.
    8. Save as .png
    9. Insert file into powerpoint slide.

Paste Special can also be used.
