      I remember having the burn option in Tiger and I'm pretty sure in versions before that. I was genuinely surprised to find it missing in Leopard.

      There again I had quite a hassle installing the version of Toast which came with my external DVD burner, and may have overwritten something then.

      Hmm. I've just had a look in TinkerTool. In the Applcations tabs there's an option "Enable extended options when converting disk images". I haven't found out what that does yet

        Obviously op asked for Mac software but some MS software was suggested but no-one mentioned for MS
