    Decent camera - gift?

....I need a camera for my sister. I have got a Nikon, which is nice, but cost more than I'd be prepared to spend on her.

I don't want to spend more than about £150, and am currently a bit baffled by the reviews etc I've seen as I dunno what I'm looking for really.

Nice picture quality and a nice small size basically. She is not going to care about any manual features particularly, or anything more than turning it on, pointing it and pressing a button.

    Help...

The Canon ones are good. I have one (which has a better optical zoom and digital zoom). Been quite impressed with some of the quality i got from it.

I used to have an Ixus, but then moved to a PowerShot, but that doesn't fit the cost profile.

MP - has she had one before? If so, do you know the brand?

I find that camera users tend to be pretty brand loyal. I only buy Canon, I know that DiscoStu always recommends a Nikon.

She's never had one, and doesn't know anything about them. I have had two Nikon's and like them, but not keen on the Coolpix which is the one in the price range.
