Do they not have 3G PAYG SIMs in Germany?

I've got an app on my phone which happily receives internet radio broadcasts.

The BBC WS is also broadcast on Long Wave 198 khz between 01:00 and 05:00 GMT/BST . Even though SW is not broadcast to Europe you still should be able to pick it up if you have a sensitive enough receiver and a decent antenna. I have a pocket SW set and I dangle a long wire from the radio and then out of the hotel window when I am in Johnny Foreigner countries.

In the good ol’ days you could buy car radios in Germany with short wave. I found it very useful commuting to and from Munich in the 80’s. Some time I will get around to making an ad-on SW unit for the car.
