Adding encryption to a usb stick (and using without admin rights)

I'm looking at adding truecrypt following these instructions.

Or is there a better way of doing this?

Or do I pay for Rohos? (the free version encrypts 2gb, I want to encrypt 6gb).

    What OS are you running?

The Ultimate versions of Windows Vista and 7 include their own encryption utilities called BitLocker.

      I'm running on Windows XP.

I want to be able to use the usb on any PC.

Work from a encrypted zip folder. It's a starter for ten, use a 20+ character key.

On mac I use an encrypted DMG folder with AES encryption, you have to be really dedicated to crack it in a reasonable time.

I always use portableapps for my usbs so I'll give Toucan a go.

            Ta everyone.

If you are looking for cross-platform compatibility, I'd just use an encrypted zip.

Since Toucan uses ccrypt, that would also provide cross-platform encryption (I think!), as there are versions of ccrypt for Windows, Linux, Mac OS, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX and BSD.
