    Ad-hoc wireless networks

A bit of advice, please chaps.

I'm trying to set up my 2Do app to sync with Outlook. This requires a wireless link to my PC which I don't have. "Never fear!" said the 2Do website, "you can set up an ad-hoc wireless network" and pointed me to the instructions.

I didn't realise this was possible but will have a go at it. Is there anything I need to consider before I begin? I don't want to set it up and then discover I can't make it secure, or anything like that..

Nope, you can pick if you want WEP or WPA (WPA prob) and define the password so it will be as secure as any other wireless network.

I've found ad-hoc wireless to be utterly unreliable

I only want to use it when syncing my iPhone, not for anything fancy...

If it's only for synching, I wouldn't worry
