    gggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhh

Got this heap of tulip all in one piece of tulip ******* useless piece of tulip all in
one scanner. The ******* thing has never worked properly.

So I decided to uninstall the software and reinstall it.

It won't let me reinstall is as it says it is already installed. FFS

I have posted in HP forums. Nothing.

HTF does this thing make this decision? I have scraped what residual crap is left on the HDD and registry to try and remove any trace of if. And still.

I don't want to have to rebuild just for this poxy flipping heap of crap.

    Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggghhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Will never ever ever ever ever ever ever buy from HP again.

    EVER!!

I've been there. Not a 7310 is it?

They sold off a lot of older designs late when they should have scrapped them. All-in-ones from appx 2007 are only supported on 2000 and XP. You can get most of them running by installing basic drivers.

From memory there's a generic driver removal tool somewhere on the HP web site.

It might be worth another go. The cleanup needs to match versions with the driver you installed, and you need to run it at level 4.

          I know it's a PITA.
Which version of windows are you on?

            Vista 32. Home edition.

Don't mind me I'm just grouchy. Everything I have tried to do today has gone wrong.

I'll run it again, although I don't recall being asked for any options. Perhaps I need to run it in elevated mode, or compatibility mode.

As I type this, it is through my 3 dongle, as my broadband service / wireless router has packed up.

I liked it when you just needed a driver, not a whole application suite.

I figured out what level 4 means, and ran it. With elevated privileges. Still no joy I'm afraid.

Thought it would work. Thanks for your help anyway dude.
