    strange mouse connector

A friend owns a bar and has with one of those touch screen POS type devices. Unfortunatley some rsepipe has broken (cracked) the screen rendering it useless but it does have connectors for both mouse and keybd.

I had a brief look at it last night and the connector is like a larger than usual PS/2 connection (same for both keybd and mouse)

Anyone come across these before? Are there 'converters' to normal PS/2 available?

    Cheers

    It's probably at AT connector.

Adapter here and in various other places

Maybe but I can't ever recall seeing one for a mouse. I'm surprised as this touch screen device must be fairly modern technology, so why implement such an old connection type.

Welcome to my world! Point of sale kit never seems to use anything standard...

Similar connections on IT kit used at check in at airports.

            Absolutely decrepit equipment.
