    Shiny new Macs released yesterday

I think I will get one of the new Mac Mini Servers.

I'd been contemplating a Mac Pro, but this will do the job nicely...

I'm also quite taken by the Magic Mouse, but will need to try one first...

I have been using minis now for 5 or 6 years and I'm happy with them.

Yep, I like the look of the Mini server too. Anyone have any idea how many clients the licence covers?

After the disaster that was the Mighty Mouse, I think it's probably a good idea to wait and see before buying a Magic Mouse.
Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.

The mouse looks beautiful, no idea if it would be useful and ergonomic though (the video won't play for me right now).

Wonder if there'll be a Windows driver... can't be long before standard PCs catch up on multi-touch.

            I expect there will be.

Lots of windows laptops support multitouch - maybe not the full range of gestures for everything but they have the hardware

This will be the first time Apple has got a mouse right.

I have my doubts. It seems too low profile to be comfortable to work with. Form over function yet again probably.

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

Had a play with the new mouse tonight.

Very clever indeed and easy to use, but as already said, it does have a low profile so don't think it will be that comfortable after a bit of long term use.

The new 27" iMac is a winnner.

Get a trackball instead (Microsoft Explorer is best - out of production sadly) unless you want to get RSI

Reading the review on TheRegister, they weren't big fans. Claimed the profile wasn't too comfortable, and the multi-touch pad was only really usable as a scroll-wheel. i.e. a gimmick, was the unspoken conclusion.
