Small claims court - dead easy, argue it online, take the money when you win.

Well then the OP should do just that. Sorted in two minutes.

If anything ever goes wrong, small claims court online, you always win and it takes two minutes.

      Simples.

I bought a studio 15 from dell last year and quite frankly the quality of the item is quite poor. The main complaint is with the screen which has developed bright spots which was probably caused by putting the laptop in the bag and rushing for trains and what not. Dell agreed to change the screen in the summer and since then the laptop has only been used at my desk but the new screen has developed the same problems.
You've said in other posts in this forum that it was a soft bag, given the combination of that and the "running for trains" I think you've abused it and Dell should have told you where to go when you first tried to change the screen.
The fact that the same problems have appeared I'd say were immaterial. The casing could well have been warped by the misuse and its this permanent warping which has been causing problems.

If Dell are still ****ing about, then tell them that you will sue them for whatever it costs to replace it. File a claim online with the small claims court - they will either repair it, replace it, or give you the money because it's a case that they will lose (if they bother to fight it).

If you get money, scrap the laptop and spend it on a decent brand.
I can get the screen from ebay for about 120 quid but I think it is the fact that the problem is reoccuring and I might have to do that again in 6 months.

Not what you wanted to hear then?

maybe you could try looking after your stuff rather than expecting sympathy from the world and his dog everytime you break something

You seem to have a wee problem with me, do not know why, I suppose it gives you some meaning to your life. You are far too insignificant for me to reciprocate.

No problem with you, untill you gave a stupid reply to a genuine comment.

You asked for comments, I thought you'd trashed the laptop and I told you so
