    It has a PCMCIA slot but it won't take my latest 7.2Mbps data card, it only uses the HUAWEI Mobile Connect E620, which maxes out at 1.8Mbps.

    There is a later V2 model, don't know what that uses, but I think they are now discontinued so you may need to look at secondary market (ebay for example).
