    Plug and Play laptop webcams

Can anyone suggest a small laptop webcam that's plug and play? I've looked at a stack but the only ones that explicitly state PnP are creative and I'm not keen on those.

(I've made a couple of mistakes regarding headsets lately so I don't wont a load of webcams I can't use littering my store cupboards as well... )

Go to overclockers and read the reviews of the Microsoft ones. Then google them and there are some quite detailed reviews of them by enthusiasts online. Can't remember their names but OCers will lead you to a google which should help.

Wife and I bought both sets of parents Microsoft webcams last Chrimbo. They both set them up themselves. Can't get more plug and play than that .

        Thanks for this chaps.

I've read up pn the NX-6000 which is what I would get, but I'm worried that it would try and install software itself.

I need to use the webcam on the clients laptop, which is locked down.

So I need a webcam that can run 'as-is' without the need for a software install.

Does anyone know if the NX-6000 can do this?

What is this Play part of owning a webcam you are referring to?

There is one built in to your Macbook. Or have you already made a mistake....?

You're right - there is one built into my EEE PC.

But I want to use it on the client's laptop for business purposes (Dim!) and since said client is not in marketing or graphic design it ain't a Mac...
