Virtual box is also good, and free. Downside is thatb you wont get any fancy graphics capability as DirectX/OpenGL arn't supported (yet).

Other than that it does exactly what it says on the tin.

Which Mac did you have/were supposed to get?

Nice piece of kit, the Pro is the serious version, better build quality with the aluminium case and dedicated graphics card rather than a shared on board jobbie. But unless you are doing a lot of video/image editing theres not a lot to chose betwen them apart from screen size. Buy one, you won't regret it.

Indeed. This one is for my Sis - she'll not be using it for anything more intense than browsing Facebook and doing coursework, I should imagine.

I bought it for her cos she wanted one <ducks for cover>.

As I said earlier on though - I really quite like it.

Hate to tell you but they're releasing new ones (according to the rumours) in mid October. However if you needed it now then good choice!

Not this month mate - it's proving to be seriously expensive as it is...

WHS - they are apparently getting a reasonably big update mid-Oct. So if you can hold on until then.
