Hi, my laptop is old and will only take WEP keys. Is there some way I can update my system so it will let me connect to WPA encrypted networks?
Cheers
BP
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Cheers, I have SP 2 but it still expects an old style WEP key and nothing else (when clicking connect to network). I could get the network admin to switch to WEP, but I don't expect he will do it. Perhaps it's time for a new laptop!

Excuse my lack of knowledge on this but will that work on WPA networks?
Seems to me the software is the first issue?

The chipset in the wireless unit needs to support WPA because it is the chip that does the encryption/decryption not the software. The software is just the interface for you, the user.. The unit MM posted does not say explicitly that it supports WPA, so I would say no.
This Buffalo (£16) will do the job as will this Netgear (£27).
