If you're serious about music why would you use MP3 as your source?
Oh dear - a format snob!
I already have an excellent setup in the lounge and sitting room, but at the time I had this installed I didn't bother with having the kitchen wired in.
Mrs State is complaining that she has to crank the volume up in the sitting too much when she's busy cooking my dinner. The house is going up for sale shortly, so I don't want to start having new cables routed.
It's quick, easy, will take both bits of kit and I can take it with us when we move.
Now answer the question.
If she weighs the same as a duck, she's made of wood. And therefore a witch!

Not so much a format snob, more like somebody who can hear the difference. My sister in law has a Bose docking station which sounds fine, but all the music seems a bit gutless de to the bits MP3 cuts off. I would suggest going for a cheap and cheerful docking station for an iPod, you are never going to get the best sound quality from MP3's anyway so no point blowing a load of cash on it IMHO.

I know what you mean. Britney sounds like tulipe in MP3 format.

Does that apply even if you rip your cd's with the maximum bit rate?
