Edit: Thinking about it, since the last thread, I read somewhere that Google is rumoured to be launching an online storage service.

Since the last thread I have implemented a backup system using Amazon Simple Storage (s3) and file level encryption.

The client uses this and has something stupid like 2Tb storage over there.

The site is shocking but the drive mapping is very good.



Personally I have a box here with RAID and anything is backup'd up to it using SFTPDrive when I am out and about.

It also syncs to a external drive that gets changed and sits in a fireproof safe (macro job...not sure how fireproof it is).

Paranoid? Probably.

But I know that within 30 mins of either my laptop getting knicked or being damaged I can be working on another machine.

With the amounts of cash flowing about I don't think that the client would be too happy with me telling them that I lost the tender and can I have another week to re-write it.
