Help - Emergency! Desktop monitor dead!

    Arghh..

Came back to discover dead desktop monitor.

Can anyone recommend a 17" monitor if wiggling of wires and checking of fuses fails?

    Ta in advance.

    Cojak in laptop mode...

I bet you were running Linux weren't you.

If you look at most modern monitors they will state they are compatible with most versions of Windows. They should never be used with non-professional OS's such as Linux, or slackware as it is sometimes known.

However, the sloppy 14 yr hackers who coded Linux do not know how to program the complex signals that make up pixels properly, hence, after a while, the monitor packs up.

DimPrawn, that's just not nice. When someone comes on here asking the same question in a week and Malvolio tells them to search the forum, they are going to find your disinformation waiting here.

He just trolls anyone who he knows uses Linux or even mentions it. Ignore him. I think he's insecure...

Ok - I'd like to point out that I find Linux naff too though.
