I was going to say, it seems like document management and integration with the MS web interface is the main selling point of Office 2007... the corporate future and all that. Maybe the usability of the software got forgotten somewhere along the line, I dunno.Originally posted by 2ukSharepoint Server integration.Comment

Sharepoint is the major improvement to Microsoft's Office products since Word 1. It is now to Office docs what Exchange has been to Outlook. If you are in the MS arena you will know how hot it is.Comment

The best thing Microsoft could do is to support OpenDocument natively
OpenOffice also has a sharepoint equivalent

Ah but then they would loose thier stranglehold on the format and people would start using open office. While it would be a great feature to add it is not econmically viable for themOriginally posted by portsevenThe best thing Microsoft could do is to support OpenDocument natively

I actually prefer MS Office 2004 for the MAC. IT just seems so much easier and so much more stable....Comment

That's why they have released Office Open XML, trying to jump on the bandwagon and get it accepted as a ISO standard (OpenDocument is ISO/IEC 26300:2006)Originally posted by ArdescoAh but then they would loose thier stranglehold on the format and people would start using open office.
