Been trying to find a way to change an email in Outlook so that the sender name appears, and refers to, an existing entry in an address book.
I've tried changing the address-entry of the message, the Outlook 'from' properties, various MAPI sender properties, and even the message itself. But once it seems the message is received the best I can do is change the name it appears from in the Inbox. Once you double-click on the sender though, it still shows the original name, e.g. change to 'Joe Black' (in the address book), double-click still shows 'Black, Joe'.
Ideas? Am I just going about this the wrong way or doesn't MAPI/Outlook allow you to change details of who has actually sent the message?
