    ahhh.

    If you have to split it back into 2 then it's just using the other 4 cables.
    Ethernet uses just 4 of the 8 wires. So that device is just using the spare wires for another connection.
    Not worth £17 each if you need 2 of them. You could make your own.

    But if you're going to make your own you could just use some multicore cable. Run one chunky cable with multiple wires. There is some chance of a little crosstalk but you get that with cables in close proximity anyway.
