Oracle XE 18c installation on Linux

    what a nightmare

I managed to solve the problem of "can't check the memory", then it hung "copying database files" so I stopped it and now it won't start:

Failed to start Oracle Net Listener using /opt/oracle/product/18c/dbhomeXE/bin/tnslsnr

    I can't see any problem in listener.ora

I'm about to give up, but maybe someone has a tip. I'm installing on Ubuntu 18.04.
    I'm alright Jack

There's a listener trace file in the trace location.
    Might give you more info.
    Search $ORACLE_HOME/diag.
Don't believe it, until you see it!
