I have setup a website where you can see if your details have been stolen.

You select the login type (e.g. bank name), enter your username and password and other required details and it tells you if you are on the list.

        Check your credentials are safe

These days a unique random passport for each sign up anywhere is a must.

It quickly become a right pain in the ass to track them all without compromising security by having them all written down somewhere.

Is there a recommended secure enough method of storing passwords?

Maybe Windows 10 has a bitlocker type locker for them.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.

I'm thinking of switching to https://pwsafe.org/

And using it with a hardware encryption key

I used Keypass for a while, but haven't recently.

Of course, you could go for the old person answer... Set your password to "incorrect", then when you get it wrong, up pops a message "Your password is incorrect"
